A photo update

Well hello there! I realized only after I posted my last post that it had been my 100th post on the blog! I should've done something fun! Oh well. Anyways here are some photos of what I've been up to lately! 

I did a mini portrait session with my roommate for some senior portraits and here are my favorites from it. You can find the rest here.

I also went to Philly's Flugtag event last Saturday. It was so fun and the weather was beautiful! I got a bad sunburn everywhere but where my sunglasses were, so that was a bit awkward, but oh well, ha.

I also went on a double date, got my car towed, finished my first avant-garde video, helped a friend film a project, played some intramural softball, and cut a mango with a machete. Fun stuff! Hope you guys are having a great week! Happy Wednesday!

Comfy and Chic

Look at me go. I've been consistently 3 days ahead in all schoolwork, I have actually blogged twice in the last two weeks (I know I need to blog more, but this is better than my long absences right?) my job is going really well, and my weekend was a blast. And I had no guilty feelings of needing to rush to finish homework because it was always done. People, this is a new feeling for me. I plan to get everything done early, but nothing ever goes that way and I'm ecstatic that so far I've been able to maintain it. 

This dress was a little too short for my liking, so I put the straps as long as they would go so that it would give me a few more inches. Then I just tied this shirt on top of it. Not going to lie, it was my favorite outfit I've worn in a long time. So comfy and yet I still felt dressed up somewhat.

Also I'm very happy at how long my hair currently is. Just a few more inches and I will have reached the length I've been waiting 6  years for.

The only downside of this new job, is that in order to put my checks in the bank, I have to pass the Plato's Closet, which is in the same location. And this is the second week straight that my feet have made their way into the store after depositing my checks. For shame. Actually, no shame. I feel justified slightly in knowing it's not full price. I know my limits.

Life lately and a DIY hair bow

I'm a really big fan of bows. 

I've made several of these bow clips, so it's high time I made a tutorial for it! (Also the bobby pins around the clip were to hold straggles of hair, they aren't connected to the bow itself. :P )

I cut out a square of material:

Folded it in half and then folded the edges in:

After scrunching the middle of the square in, I wrapped a tiny rectangle of the small fabric around the middle of it and then glued a bobby pin to the back of it.

I started my job last week and it went really well! The kids really liked me and I had a lot of fun hangin' out with them. I am so thankful I found a job that worked with my class schedule, as I haven't been able to find a regular one since I've been at school.

On the only day I didn't work that week, I wore this little number.

I shot a video with my friends that day for a project and we spontaneously decided to shoot me doing some stunt and I ended up getting mud on the back, but thankfully it came off without leaving a mark on it.
