A Pringles Makeover

Tonight, as I was rummaging through my craft box, I stumbled across an old Pringles can. Naturally, my brain started sorting out ideas on how to make it something cute. My decorations of choice were ribbons and book pages.

I started cutting the book pages in two different directions, horizontally and vertically. Each strip was roughly an inch wide. I used about 4 or 5 pages of paper, but it depends on the size of the book pages you are using.

With my glue gun, I put a dot of glue at the beginning and end of each strip of paper and placed it neatly around the base of the can.

The next layer of paper was a horizontal strip of paper. These strips were shorter, so I had to use two for every layer. After that I glued another vertical strip and repeated the process till the can was completely covered.

For the very top of the can, I took a strip of paper, glued half of it to the outside of the can, then folded it over the edge and glued the top of the strip to the inside of the can. I finished it off with a ribbon around the top.

And voilĂ !

  1. Okay, I absolutely adore this.

I don't have the balls to cut up books though.
